JohnQPine Posted September 10, 2009 Author Share #29 Posted September 10, 2009 So I saw 1568 orange and blue!!! That's odd since it was just repainted in blue and white. WTF is going on?
JohnQPine Posted September 10, 2009 Author Share #30 Posted September 10, 2009 Apparently Tom Suozzi threw a fit over the restriping, and since Nassau owns all the Orion V CNG, they had to go back to orange and blue. They still have a white back though. And I notice they took away the Orion plate. Here's a photo taken today. I guess the only way LIB is gonna have blue and white Orion V CNG is to get some from MTA Bus, which I hope is a possibility.

Grand Concourse Posted September 11, 2009 Share #32 Posted September 11, 2009 I totally agree, I think the Nassau buses should stay with the orange and blue stripes. It's bad enough the PBL's are gone and of course their individual colors. As far as individual colors: I'd like for the express buses red and the O5's from JFK green

The older Gilligs from the 90s are in blue and green, and everything from the Orion V and newer are blue, yellow, and white. Eventually though that variety will be lost when the Orion 7's come in next year, which will replace all the older Gilligs from the 90s.
