Bomb scare at NYC LaGuardia Airport; planes and terminal evacuated

Recommended Posts

LaGuardia Airport's central terminal was evacuated Saturday after a kook with a fake bomb in his bag was busted while trying to go through security, authorities said.

Just after 5:00 a.m., a man identified as Scott McGann, 32, checked in for a United Airlines flight to Oakland. The ticket agent noticed McGann was intoxicated and "spaced out" and alerted TSA agents.

Authorities at the security check noticed McGann was acting strange and saw wires and a fuse sticking out of his bag. A Port Authority cop grabbed the bag from McGann and tackled him.

That must have been scared!

Properly airport goers on M60, Q33, Q48, Q72, and possibly Q47, NYAB, Rentral Car/Hotel Shuttle must be worrying about their flight.

I don't want any of airport to be detroy.

Without LGA, JFK and Newark Airport will be very busy, well as HPN and other airports nearby.
