Health Insurance Eligibility

Recommended Posts

3 month waiting period before you are covered.

Now, if you get hurt on the job within those 3 months will the TA pay? If they have to pay, will they try everything to mess with you?

If you get hurt on ANY job where you are legally employed, you are covered by Worker's Compensation. That holds true from the day you walk in until the day you walk out. If you are referring to health insurance coverage in the event that you become ill, I don't know anything about the TA's health insurance plan for train operators. I know with some of the plans offered by my employer, retroactive coverage is offered for the first 90 days. Most plans don't offer you anything until you start giving them money. Perhaps a T/O can answer that question for us.

Bottom line - just try to not EVER get sick, anywhere, at anytime.
