Manhattan and Queens-bound (E) trains are affected by track work

Four weekends, 12:01 AM Sat to 5 AM Mon, Aug 15 - Sep 8

(service change ends on a Tue)

• Manhattan-bound trains run on the (F) from Roosevelt Av to 34 St-6 Av.

• Jamaica-bound (E) trains run on the (F) from 34 St-6 Av to 47-50 Sts,

then normal from 5 Av to Jamaica Center.

• Free shuttle buses connect the Court Sq G/23 St-Ely Av, Queens Plaza,

and 21 St-Queensbridge (F) stations.

The Manhattan-bound (E) platforms at Queens Plaza, 23 St-Ely Av, Lex Av-53 St,

and 5 Av stations are closed.

(G)71/Continental Avs-bound trains run express from Queens Plaza to Roosevelt Av

Late night, 12:01 AM to 5 AM Sat to Mon, Aug 15 - 17

For service to 36, Steinway, 46 Sts, Northern Blvd and 65 St take the (E) or (G) to Roosevelt Av and transfer to a Manhattan-bound (E) or Church Av-bound (G)

For service from these stations Church Av-bound (G) to Queens Plaza and transfer to a Jamaica Center-bound (E) or 71/Continental Avs-bound (G).

This is big:no 8th ave (E) trains and the (G) is (probably just temporarily) extended back to it's rightful home. Anyone know what they're doing to the downtown 53rd st track?

Damn was gonna post this since I saw it at 14th st on the (F) 2 days ago

I saw a poster that said that the (V) will also operate over the 63rd St line, since it still runs after 10PM till 12PM or 1AM(Heading to QNS)

But its a Late Night One, 10:30PM(Or 10PM) to 5AM. Ill get a pic of that when i head to 14th st next time

The Full lenth (G) will be running all the way untill 10/02/09. They was doing Chip out track work right at the South end of 23rd st. Ecpect the (G) to run some weekends as well tose the end of this time frame, while the pour the road bed back.

This also sould include the Weeknight but I might be wrong since the E will still be running Nouth bound the right way thought 23st.

I think it will since late night riders will need the (G) to get to QP southbound

Don't forget that the (A) will be running via the (F). "(A) Lefferts Blvd/Far Rockaway-bound trains run local from 168 to West 4 Sts,

then on the (F) to Jay St , then local to Euclid Av

and then (F) 179 St-bound trains run on the (A) from Jay to West 4 Sts

It appears that this big G.O has been retracted. Go to the link in the first post, it isn't there anymore.

However, these are still in effect:

Manhattan-bound (E) local Roosevelt-36 St

Manhattan-bound (F) local Roosevelt-Queensbridge

Queens-bound (E)(G)(R) express Queens Plz-Continental

(G) on QB is suspended 8PM Friday through 5AM Sunday. Will run the whole day Sunday as the express.

Better than no (G) at all...but four trains running express??? Will the line handle so many trains even on weekends?

They just moved it to be weeknights instead of weekends (with no (G) at all). Why did they change it all of a sudden? it'd make sense to leave the (G) during weeknights. stupid (MTA)
