EE Broadway Local 17 #1 Posted August 7, 2009 Maybe a dumb question, but could the be extended north on Liberty Avenue toward Jamaica?

metsfan 2 #3 Posted August 7, 2009 The AirTrain elevated structure seems to be in the way, so not likely. I'm sure they thought of this & decided to keep the layout as and on 2 different AirTrain connections, since you could in theory ride between the and on it.... - A

(My friend lives in the area, and I been to house many times enough to point this out) If the A were to be extended down Liberty Avenue, it must ramp up over the Airtrain viaduct for the "Van Wyck Blvd station". A trial BRT line should be run from Jamaica and Lefferts, tracing the route of the proposed line to see how it will work out. If the corridor is in needed demand, then it should be studied.
