I just wanted to know, because if I ever got a job working for transit, I'd like to be able to wear a skirt. Not a mini-skirt, of course, but a comfortable one. Why not ze mini skirt????? Cudahy it shows a picture of two women helping couple to BMT standards (during the WW2, while men were out at war) and they were wearing skirts. Rapid Transit TO Posted August 12, 2009 Share #29 Posted August 12, 2009 Back to the subject, in regards to the subway, I believe that Station Agents are allowed to wear skirts, but Cleaners, T/O's and C/R's are not. I think this is right. We aren't allowed shorts like Bus Operators I was told because of the dangers of going on the tracks.. Like 2mm polyester fabric is gonna 'save' me in some bad situation..
