EE Broadway Local 17 #5 Posted August 13, 2009 167th Street is a major street in Morrisania and there is a decent-sized area between the ( and the at Simpson Street/Westchester Avenue. The 70(8) stopped at 166th Street on Third Avenue until April 29, 1973. Some riders are walking home; others are transferring to the BX35 eastbound. MTR Admiralty 4 #6 Posted August 13, 2009 There might be lots of people who live there or maybe an alterntive stop for Yankees Game. And I dont think its only the (, the too. Yankee Stadium is at River Ave and 161st. The 167th Street is not that close of a walking distance where Yankee fans would get off and walk to the ball game. Sides you're in a rush, eh? RokuSix 3 #7 Posted August 14, 2009 Passengers there can transfer to the Bx35, which runs through areas otherwise lacking subway service.

Luis1985 1 #9 Posted August 14, 2009 Wow come to think it i never payed any attention that the BX35(which is is a very slow bus) i didnt quite realize that. Thank you ever one the only time the Bx35 bus is slow is when its by Washington Heights via W 181 St. Theres always heavy traffic in that area. Otherwise, the BX35 is not that bad in the Bronx.
