Oh my...! Reminds me of the E44s except maybe a little more powerful. It was quite interesting back then in how Penn Central and Amtrak used the pantographs that point in the direction of travel fearing that the opposite pantograph will snag the wire easier. There was been no concern about the front pantographs on the E44s, E60s, and this White Elephant that it would damage the rear pantograph should an incident occur.

I love the GG1 and E33/E44 shots in this video. It really shows the GG1 still running strong at 40 years old, and it shows that electric freight makes sense.
