R142 "diamond 6 trains"!

Recommended Posts

When me and my mom were on the highway on 8.12.09(I think!)

Stuck in traffic over the west farms yard and I saw two R142s programed for the diamond 6 train. Are they planing to put r142s on the 6?(I hope not!)

Someone was probably just playing around with the signs. Just because they are signed for it in the yard doesn't mean they will be servicing the line. All IRT NTTs have all IRT lines programmed into them just in case, though.

Oh boy!

(1)(7)<7> = R62A

(3) = R62

(4) = R142/R142A

(2)(5)<5> = R142

(6)<6> = R142A

(S) = R62A

And dont listen to ANYONE who says R62s are SOMETIMES on the (4). Thats a damn lie. The (4) no longer uses them and are used on the (3) now. So even if they say 1 set. Nope, Nope , NOOOOOOOOOO!!!
