I liked Triple H when he was heel. Now he wins too much. I also liked the original DX (not the various cheap imitations). Brock Lesnar is in MMA. I wish he was still wrestling. When NWO first came to the WWE I liked that storyline. The best period in wrestling was 1998-2001. Too bad The Rock started making movies

In your lifetime Mr wilson 1998-2001 the wwe/wwf was it best. These are the best era in wrestling history since world war 2.

 

IMO the golden age of pro westling in the television era is 3 periods.

 

1)1952-60 when it aired on then new ABC-TV NBC-TV and now defucant Dumont Channel at the same time but different nights.

 

2)The 1970's/early '80's prior to the Vince McMahon ownership era w/ Bruno Andre the Giant and Superstar Billy Graham. Also the challenge from the NWA(National Wrestling Alliance)

 

3)1983-90 Hulk mania.(my personal favorite) Also the height of Ric Flair carrer called by many people, the best pro wrestler of all time but went unnoticed in the lesser know AWA/WCW.

 

4)1995-2000 before the WCW/WWE merger when both leagues had a huge rival. WCW and then owner Ted Turner had the first regular 'live' weekly Wrestlemania-type show around 1993-94.

 

Vince and his WWF (late the current WWE)posse replied and thus the rivalry was intense and pro wrestlers received record contracts. The era ended around 2000 when Vince brought WCW and the former rivals merged.
