NJ Transit SW1500 503 still lives

Hello Everyone,

 

 

I came across this photo on the internet.

It appears that NJ Transit SW1500 #503 was not destroyed after all.

P.S. NJ Transit 503 was the only Southern Pacific Locomotive owned by NJ Transit. 500, 501, and 502 were all originally owned by the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie

Back in 2003 I believe the locomotive got side swiped by another locomotive at the Medowlands Maintenance Complex and NJ Transit didn't want to bother repairing. Ironically 503 was the best NJ Transit SW1500 of all 4 and the only Southern Pacific SW1500 owned by NJ Transit.
