R62A 1991 Posted August 31, 2009 Share #1 Posted August 31, 2009 Adventures while going to see 181st St today. They had MTA personnel stationed there, so hard to get pictures. So, why not enjoy the ride? BTW, I was in DanielTheCool's territory, but I didn't have time to stop there today. R142 at Van Siclen: 181st Street (now OPEN, but not finished). I commend the MTA. They may not have finished, but they got the job done to let trains go through very quickly, in time for labor day AND school. Very good. However, my pet peeve: every single tile in that northern end of the station is messed up. While the station was closed, I feel they should've done something to that. Some delinquents years ago scratchittied every single tile that read 181. They really need to be fixed, it looks terrible. But here's hoping that will come. Dyckman & 207th Sts: Yes, ladies and gentlemen, that is a new R160, 9832, right next to the Lo-Vs. And that is the R42 set that is going to the scrapper. 168th St: Probably my final R32 rides in videos: Lexington Av @ 59th, 68th, and 77th Sts: The <6>s were representing today. 59th, 68th, and 77th Sts are a few stations where you can catch a in both directions. And, finally, 77th St: And, that's my travels for today. Give the station a week before going to see it is my suggestion. I also saw and took a quick picture of the Designline bus on the M42 while walking to my mom's job. Hope you enjoyed!

trainfan22 Posted August 31, 2009 Share #5 Posted August 31, 2009 Nice photos! Also i wonder why the TOMC/LoVs are bk at 207. Another Special? =| Because theres not enough room in the TM to put the entire Museum fleet on display at the same time. So some of the museum cars are stored at 207th when they are not being used, those museum cars are always there.
