Harry Posted September 2, 2009 Share #1 Posted September 2, 2009 Most likely this has been repaired but still disturbing to look at. Credit to oaksmodelrr.

LRG Posted September 2, 2009 Share #3 Posted September 2, 2009 That definitely needs to be fixed! Even the discombobulated MTA would never let something like that slip by.

kaback9 Posted September 13, 2009 Share #6 Posted September 13, 2009 You would be surprised at how much bad rail is actually out there, that is pretty bad but I can say I have seen alot worse . Nice video:tup:
via White Plains Road Posted September 14, 2009 Share #7 Posted September 14, 2009 OMG....that is crazy. Imagine a different train was speeding down that track going 50+...it would have been a disaster!
metsfan Posted September 14, 2009 Share #8 Posted September 14, 2009 I've actually seen trains in action on this line, and they do indeed go fast. I am guessing there was a slow order till it was repaired. When you're in the cab, you can feel the engine bobble around via the seat of your pants or it can be more obvious. It looks like a 4 bolt fishplate with 3 loose bolts and 1 missing bolt. I'm a fan of 6 bolt myself, and the rare 8 bolt. - A
