Brighton Local Posted September 8, 2009 Share #9 Posted September 8, 2009 The G.O. is probably in effect for the Newkirk Av Switch placement project.
Pelham Bay Dave Posted September 8, 2009 Share #10 Posted September 8, 2009 Also what you forgot Mark is Uptown service via Line Jay St to W 4. Instead on Suspending Service which happens on this type of work to prevent conjestion. The is running to WTC to provide uptown 8 Av service to Chamber WTC , Canal and Spring Streets. There is no service 8 AV Line at this time Downtown is via 21 Queensbridge to 34 / 6 Ave then terminate then Uptown operate Via Line.
LRG Posted September 8, 2009 Share #11 Posted September 8, 2009 The G.O. is probably in effect for the Newkirk Av Switch placement project. Interesting. There should be switches between Prospect Park and Kings Highway to allow for extra flexibility.

LRG Posted September 9, 2009 Share #16 Posted September 9, 2009 So does this mean the runs overnight?
Pelham Bay Dave Posted September 9, 2009 Share #17 Posted September 9, 2009 No it don't seem like it have to wait for the G.O notice to come out.
R62A 1991 Posted September 9, 2009 Share #18 Posted September 9, 2009 So does this mean the runs overnight? No. The poster that mentions that trains are diverted along Rutgers mentions that the serves stations from Chambers-WTC to W 4th from 5 AM to Midnight. From Midnight to 5 AM, it tells people to take an then change direction. I think that means the is only during the day.

Grand Concourse Posted September 10, 2009 Share #25 Posted September 10, 2009 I wonder why they aren't running the N over to Kings Highway [looping around CI]? that GO a few years ago was pretty cool.
