dmouse Posted September 8, 2009 Share #1 Posted September 8, 2009 1602 is in new paint. But guess what! Its the old scheme. The repainted the end white, and repainted the traditional Orange and blue. What's going on? I thought the idea was to repaint them white & blue?

This was taken August 23, so if you're right it was repainted again. Stupid...prob Nassau county politics..

JohnQPine Posted September 10, 2009 Share #6 Posted September 10, 2009 Well, Nassau County owns all of the high floors and the cutaways. Maybe they got pissed the orange stripe was removed and it got put back on. I was hoping for a 100% LIB fleet in blue and white. Oh well.

JohnQPine Posted September 10, 2009 Share #10 Posted September 10, 2009 Did anyone notice the orange in the back by the fuel panel? Yes, apparently they just put blue tape over and it wasn't an actual repaint, that's why the door was orange. And the rumor is true, apparently Tom Suozzi threw a fit over the restriping, and since Nassau owns all the Orion V CNG, they had to go back to orange and blue. They still have a white back though. And I notice they took away the Orion plate. Here's a photo taken today.
Orion Posted September 10, 2009 Share #11 Posted September 10, 2009 Ohh wow, then again it reduces confusion for MTA Bus Company V CNG's and LIB V CNG's, though the NG CNG's still could get confused with JFK NG HEV's.
