KTrainExp Posted October 23, 2009 Share #102 Posted October 23, 2009 Thanks to AJ Burnett, Phil Hughes, and Nick Swisher for another outstanding performance. Don't blame them. The Angels are a powerhouse and if you have one of them on base, then its a constant mental breakdown with their speed. We will win on Saturday because we have a huge home plate advantage. The Angels have done a great job this series, but I doubt they'll win with Pettite and our home plate advantage in our offense, with the exception of Swisher. Grand Concourse Posted October 23, 2009 Share #103 Posted October 23, 2009 Again do not get over confident. We don't want a repeat of 2004.

Aqueduct Posted October 24, 2009 Share #105 Posted October 24, 2009 The bottom line is, on saturday its going to be a yankee victory.and thats the bottom line cause Stone cold said so...... After that great prognostication of game 5, I have no doubt there will be a game six. Do me a favor and pick the raiders this week, the Jets need a win. mass production Posted October 24, 2009 Author Share #106 Posted October 24, 2009 I hope the weather holds up for Game 6 tonight in The Bronx for the Yankees to clinch it once, and for all.
Grand Concourse Posted October 24, 2009 Share #107 Posted October 24, 2009 I'd rather they just postpone the game than to take a chance for some delay in the middle of the 5th inning or earlier. I don't want Pettitte to pitch only a few innings and have to rely on the pen to finish the game if the delay lasts.
Forest Glen Posted October 25, 2009 Share #108 Posted October 25, 2009 I think CC Sabathia should pitch tomorrow. He would be on regular rest and he's been lights out this series.
Grand Concourse Posted October 25, 2009 Share #109 Posted October 25, 2009 And why does it matter to you when you said he sucked and was an overpaid pitcher earlier this year? Oh sure now he's great...

Grand Concourse Posted October 26, 2009 Share #115 Posted October 26, 2009 Oh thank god that's over. I did not want to see a game 7. I also did not expect the angels starters to blow up like that in the 8th inning.
EE Broadway Local Posted October 26, 2009 Share #116 Posted October 26, 2009 Congratulations to the Yankees! Andy earned his 16th postseason victory and Super Mo his 37th postseason save. It was like a 1990's flashback: Andy, Super Mo, The Captain, Jorge and (Manager) Joe Girardi. C.C. wins the A.L.C.S. M.V.P. and A-Rod has a great series. mass production Posted October 26, 2009 Author Share #117 Posted October 26, 2009 I am very happy that the Yankees won there 40th American League Championship. It’s there first trip back to the World Series since 2003 last time winning it was in 2000. This is pay back to what the Angles did to them in 2002, and 2005 ALDS. The Quest is on for 27!!! Do it for George!!!! DO it for N.Y.!!! GO YANKEES!!!

EE Broadway Local Posted October 26, 2009 Share #119 Posted October 26, 2009 Hard to believe Mr. Steinbrenner is seventy-nine. Somehow it seems like only yesterday that he purchased the Yankees from CBS. What excitement there was when Chris Chambliss hit that home run to win Game 5 of the 1976 A.L.C.S. vs. the Royals and send the Yankees to the World Series for the first time since 1964. Dick Tidrow got the win in relief of Ed Figueroa. A young second baseman hit .118 that series but Willie Randolph would go on to have a nice career. Locomotion69 Posted October 30, 2009 Share #122 Posted October 30, 2009 Good game last night. Best of 5 series now with Philly having the home field advantage, this is going to be a 7 game series, you can bet the house on it! Fasten your seatbelts Yankee fans..... Locomotion69 Posted October 30, 2009 Share #124 Posted October 30, 2009 ... and Phillie fans *fastens seatbelt* CBP should be much louder then Yankee Stadium this weekend. All of those "elitists" sitting behind home plate at Yankee Stadium, they are there for show, to be seen on TV, no more, no less. Lee better be ready for game 4 on Sunday, if CC can go on 3 days rest so can Lee. Because that is the match up that you want for a possible game 7 on nervous Thursday, Nov 7.
Grand Concourse Posted October 31, 2009 Share #125 Posted October 31, 2009 I don't know how effective Lee is on short rest, but he pitched a CG, I would think he'd need some rest. Even CC hasn't pitched a CG yet.
