I have ridden NYC subways on a regular basis for 35 yrs now (aside from a period in the 90's when I lived abroad) since I started high school and traveled from Queens to Manhattan but have earliest memories of riding the subway when I was about 5 (1965) and would take the train from Metropolitan Avenue to the NY Eye and Ear hospital downtown. I have always noted car types, numbers and other trivia. I live again in Queens now and regularly take the E, V and 7 trains. I also remember the old days of Triboro Coach buses (which I took to the subway when in high school). I hope I can contribute something useful to the forum.
