Forest Glen Posted September 30, 2009 Share #1 Posted September 30, 2009 At Subchat (yes I still lurk there) there was a thread about people on Staten Island who want the MTA to take over the X23 and X24, express routes that are currently operated by Atlantic Express. Atlantic Express currently receives $12 million dollars annually to operate the two routes. Staten Island officials would rather use that money on other transportation projects in the forgotten borough. The Charleston Annex, Staten Island's third depot, is being built and it will enable more buses to serve Staten Island.
