metsfan Posted October 1, 2009 Share #1 Posted October 1, 2009 Station Advisory ADVISORY: Departure Boards Not Functioning on NJT Concourse at New York Penn Station The departure screens on the NJ TRANSIT Seventh Avenue Concourse at New York Penn Station are currently out of service. Technicians are working on the problem, though it is unclear when departure information will be restored. Please listen for PA announcements in the station for track assignment information. NJ TRANSIT will send track assignment information through the My Transit alert system during the Thursday evening commute. Departure screens are functioning on the Eighth Avenue side of the station. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. ---------------------------------------------------------------- This is cool for me, because i'll get a record of track assignments so i can compare the next time i'm in the city!
N-Trizzy2609 Posted October 1, 2009 Share #2 Posted October 1, 2009 This was most pointless advisory I've ever gotten. They ALWAYS announce the train and what track its on before hand. Plus this is wasting money on my texts! Memo to NJ Transit: Comeback to me when a train is brokendown somewhere at Metropark! We don't care about one stupid departure broad.
