Grand Concourse 2,690 #1 Posted October 3, 2009 So i had to make room by getting rid of my 04-05 collection on PB, but I have been able to now upload these other pics that I haven't posted. So enjoy! For as long as you can [i may have to take these down in a week]. Also only comments about just the express buses and CNG's = B7.

Grand Concourse 2,690 #4 Posted October 3, 2009 Thanks! yeah as do I. I wished some of them were still around rather than everything being those wasteful D4500s.
MAA89 0 #5 Posted October 3, 2009 Thanks so much for the pics. I didn't live in New York before the MTA took over all bus operations, so it was nice to see what the buses looked like before the takeover.
Infamous85 9 #6 Posted October 3, 2009 Excellent shots  It would've been interesting to see what buses would have replaced them when they retired, they're could've been a lot of diversity. Imagine a NABI with a JBL paint scheme. I miss those MCIs.

Imagine a NABI with a JBL paint scheme. I miss those MCIs. Thanks! Yeah totally agreed. That would've been so cool. I wonder if they would've had the money though to buy those buses. It seem Green Lines and Triboro didn't take as good care of their buses compared to the other 5 companies [LL, NYBS, Command, JBI, QSC]. Thanks so much for the pics. Yea the DOT didn't have that much funding to buy new buses for these private bus companys.most likely they would get hand me down buses from MTA and still run the GMC'S RTS AND TMC RTS CNG until 2011. anyways nice pics

But I wonder if it means that they would've kept some of the classics around longer? Thanks!
Q43LTD 740 #11 Posted October 3, 2009 Nice pics. Takes me back. I wish the CNG RTS' could have been around a little longer. They've could've been at CP or JG
Grand Concourse 2,690 #12 Posted October 3, 2009 Thanks! The RTS CNG's [from LGA/ex-TBC] were all re-located at SC, but the MTA felt it wasn't worth keeping them around anymore and figured it would've been 'cheaper' to just replace them with the hybrids. JG, I think did have them, but gave them up/sold them to TBC and/or Command. Ex-QSC didn't need them since they have plenty of the O5's and regular RTS's.
