mysterious surprise at Coney Island Yard

yesterday I was riding someone's car along the Belt Pakway over the CI Yard.

And among some of the redbirds stored there I saw some train, with SILVER REDBIRD at its head. .... Did someone see it?

 

I recall that some of our forummates, who is a train operator (dont know his nick) mentioned some surprises in car equipment. I guess he meant this.
