The TransitMan Posted October 7, 2009 Share #2 Posted October 7, 2009 The MTA "TRIED" to repower the Gilligs at Long Island Bus. I do remember hearing Gillig Phantom #544-545 roaring down 165th St towards Hilllside Av in Jamaica with Cummins M-11 engines. Their exhaust pipes were also redone...can't describe it but you'd noticed the HELL out of them.
JohnQPine Posted October 22, 2009 Share #3 Posted October 22, 2009 Those have been like that for awhile. And as usual, this bus looks crowded. Uncrowded LIB's are a rarity these days. Only routes that have breathing space are the N73,N74,N80,N81,and N51.
