Fresh Pond Posted January 18, 2010 Share #60 Posted January 18, 2010 I do the Q67 every time I go home from work (Queens Plaza to Middle Village) and most of the time I'm the only one onthe bus...at most 3 people. But I've also done the B2, 3K, 6, 7, 15, 20, 25, 26, 38, 39, 41 (kings plaza branch), 43, 46, 51, 52, 54, 61 (post-split), 62, 69, 74, 103, M1, 2, 14D, 16, 21, 34, 42, 60, 98, Bx12 +select, 15, 55, Q8, 17, 22, 24, 25, 33, 35, 39, 41, 47, 48, 53, 67, 101, 112, 113, QBx1, S44, 79, 94, X10, 17J, 28, 38, BM2, & BxM6 Whenever I'm mad and I need to calm down, I always go on this self-made loop of mine that goes through Brooklyn, Queens, & Manhattan. I take the B41 Limited to Flatbush Junction (Brooklyn College) then take the Q35 to the last stop, then take the Q53 to Roosevelt Terminal then take the Q33 to the 1st stop in the airport then take the M60 into the city. The whole trip goes through some nice places to take pictures of everything (not just buses) its pretty relaxing cuz I have so much time to just think and enjoy the scenery. Mysterious2train Posted July 21, 2010 Share #66 Posted July 21, 2010 When I rid a bus end-to-end it's usually for railfanning. Bronx: (Bx55) Manhattan: (M15) Limited [south Ferry], (M27) Brooklyn: (B42), (B75), (B83) Staten Island: (S93) By the end of summer this list should be a lot bigger ^^ Honorable Mention: I rode the (M1) limited from South Ferry last summer, but I got off Lenox Av & 145 St [the 2nd-to-last stop] because I accidently thought it was the terminal.... I also rode the (B37) from Shore Rd to Joralemon St & Cadman Plaza West [the 2nd-to-last stop]

I also rode the (B37) from Shore Rd to Joralemon St & Cadman Plaza West [the 2nd-to-last stop] Add the (Bx12) SBS and (Bx41) Limited to my list On the (Bx41) LTD, the bus went out of service at Melrose Av and E 150 St, which is not actually the last stop, but everyone's going to The Hub anyway, so I guess it's a moot point. Off-topic, when I rode the (Bx12) SBS, I boarded at the front and actually flashed my ticket to the bus driver... then I remembered that you only show your ticket when asked to... The (Bx29) was an interesting case. I walked to the first stop at Bay Plaza, but the bus stop where it was *supposed* to begin service had a paper plastered on it saying it was a (Bx38) stop to Norwood. [A (Bx38) sign was already placed there, but it had the wrong destination.] I walked over to another stop at Bartow Av & Co-op City Blvd, and after missing the bus [which came from a different street then I thought] and not wanting to wait so long for the next one... I called it quits and hopped on the QBx1 going to the train... but I got off two stops later when I saw another (Bx29) right behind my bus; I got off, transferred to the (Bx29), and took it to the last stop on City Island. I traveled the entire route... just not on the bus:p

Mysterious2train Posted August 13, 2010 Share #71 Posted August 13, 2010 Bronx: (Bx2) Limited, (Bx12) SBS, (Bx21), (Bx41) Limited, (Bx55) Manhattan: (M15) Limited [south Ferry], (M27) Brooklyn: (B42), (B75), (B83) Staten Island: (S93) Other: QBx1 Honorable Mention: (M1) Limited - South Ferry, (B37), (Bx29) Today I rode the QBx1. It could have been better. I ran to catch the bus at Main St, bus I rushed for nothing - we didn't leave for a couple of minutes anyway. The bus driver constantly stopped to adjust one of the mirrors outside the bus. It wouldn't stay in place, and appeared to be broken. It got so bad everyone had to jump on the next QBx1, (which became crowded as a result) and the first bus went out of service. (Around Whitestone Expressway and Linden Place) The Whitestone Bridge was quite a drag, but Bruncker Blvd was nice and speedy. My bus was one of the PM Rush Hour shoulder buses, but it still made all stops around all 5 sections of Co-op City (going via 1-2-3-4-5, or as the MTA refers to it, clockwise) I just realized, outside of Rush Hour, buses going TO Flushing operate via 5-4-3-2-1, and buses FROM Flushing operate via 1-2-3-4-5. Call me stupid for being late, but the schedule is so much clearer now
