Something like 500 truck trips a week are avoided because of that bridge. :tup: - A Very smart to reopen the AK; I cant quote any figures, but I'd venture a guess that 500 truck trips being eliminated weekly might be a little low; besides having rail service to Howland Hook Terminal, there is a spur to Fresh Kills to load compacted trash for shipment out of state. I don't think you could really truck that volume of trash, kinda impractical aside via train, so i only count the container/trailer trains, since those are, container for container taking one truck per container off the automobile bridge. :cool: - A Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
