What would be your choices for best movies/mini-series?

These would be some of mine:

1) Brian's Song (1972) The story of Brian Piccolo and Gale Sayers and their amazing friendship.

2) The Taking Of Pelham 1-2-3 (1974) Lt. Zachary Garber, Officer Rico Petrone and Frank Correll.

3) Malcolm X (1992) Denzel Washington was good as the Minister who once worked at Small's Paradise in Harlem.

4) To Sir With Love (1967) Sidney Poitier as teacher Mark Thackarey at Greenslade School in East London.

5) Apollo 13 (1995) The story of the ill-fated apollo mission of April 13, 1970

6) The Outsiders (1983) A young Patrick Sayze as Darry Curtis.

7) Serpico (1973) Al Pacino as the former New York Police Officer known for honesty.

8) Airport (1970) The original Airport and with a top cast - Burt Lancaster as Mel Bakersfield, Dean Martin as Vernon Demarest, Barry Nelson as Anson Harris. Jacqueline Bissett as Gwen Meighen, George Kennedy as Joe Patroni, Helen Hayes as Ada Quansett. I think O'Hare was Lincoln International.

9) The Godfather (1972) The Godfather II (1974) The Godfather III (1990) Don Vito Corleone, Sonny, Micheal and Freddie Corleone. In the scene featuring the Luna in The Bronx you hear a train passing on the el.

10) North and South Book 1 and North and South Book 2. Television mini-series from 1985/1986. Patrick Swayze as Orry Main of South Carolina, George Read as Orry's best friend George Hazard of Lehigh Station, Pennsylvania; Hal Holbrook as President Abraham Lincoln and David Carradine as Justin LaMotte.
