Originally, it was a female voice (some still is), and the re-recorded one is a male voice. You can hear the re-recorded ones on John F Kennedy, John A Noble (northbound only), etc. And now, I am asking you this: Which announcements on Kennedy, Barberi, and Austen Class ferryboats do you like better?
