Harry 1,088 Posted December 13, 2007 Share #1 Posted December 13, 2007 The R160A whining sound is starting to get to me I think. In the begining I was able to ignore it. Now, I just can't ignore it and that's all I hear. It takes at least 20 minutes into the ride for my ears to stop hearing it. I don't know, I might be paying too much attention to it. This could be a rant but take it how ever you want.
North-Eastern T/O 1 Posted December 13, 2007 Share #2 Posted December 13, 2007 I guess I don't hear it like you in the body of the car. I can't realy hear it in th cab, and for that matter it does bother me since I use the R143's sounds to hear how fast I am going. Robert
Harry 1,088 Posted December 13, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted December 13, 2007 I always thought the train would whine only while accelerating. Today I realized that it whines even when the train is cruising.

DOB2RTO 29 Posted December 14, 2007 Share #11 Posted December 14, 2007 Ok maybe I'm making a big thing out of nothing. Maybe you just like the cars so much, that you are unintentionally more in tune to them, and is just absorbing the newness.

R68 Subway Car 254 Posted December 16, 2007 Share #15 Posted December 16, 2007 That leads me to wonder do the R68 Heepos still have the highest MDBFs?Because they are well maintained by Concourse and Coney Island (sans the dirty look of the Coney Island Cars).
