Forest Glen Posted November 3, 2009 Share #2 Posted November 3, 2009 I think Greyhound and Academy have deals for trips to Atlantic City
Myrtle Local Posted November 3, 2009 Share #3 Posted November 3, 2009 Another option is you can take Amtrak to Philadelphia and then get on NJ Transit's Atlantic City line right in 30th Street Station
nel070 Posted November 4, 2009 Share #4 Posted November 4, 2009 greyhound and new jersey transit have buses going to atlantic city every twenty minutes all day till the minute hours when they run like every hour and when u buy a round trip ticket the reurn ticket is good for up to 72 hours and u get the schedule and cantake the bus from the terminal or any casinos the bus is scheduled to leave from my advice would be to try to catch the bus from the casino the bus is originating from the buses fill up fast during the midnight hours coming back the the 42nd st port authority
LexAveExp5 Posted November 4, 2009 Author Share #5 Posted November 4, 2009 i read somewhere that the bus is only 2 hours and 45 min from NYC to AC. how is that possible when the ACES train takes the same amount of time?
Forest Glen Posted November 4, 2009 Share #6 Posted November 4, 2009 The buses take a more direct route than ACES.

Amtrak7 Posted November 14, 2009 Share #8 Posted November 14, 2009 Or, you could take NJT-SEPTA-NJT. (NEC-R7-ACL)
Ken S. Posted November 14, 2009 Share #9 Posted November 14, 2009 Or, you could take NJT-SEPTA-NJT. (NEC-R7-ACL) The 551 bus operates more frequently then the ACL. Take the R7 to Market East and walk to the Greyhound Terminal.
Aqueduct Posted November 14, 2009 Share #10 Posted November 14, 2009 I scheduled a two day get-away for the end of December, I'm using Amtrak to NJT. I did this last time I went down there in August and it worked out good.
LexAveExp5 Posted November 20, 2009 Author Share #11 Posted November 20, 2009 ok i went to the Port Authority Bus Terminal information booth today and the guy said all i have to do is show up that day (New Years Eve) and purchase my tickets for the bus, as Greyhound and Academy do not have advanced tickets. he also noted that on new Years Eve they will probably run twice as many buses than the current 1 every half hour. should i believe this guy? lol. cuz i cant find advanced tickets on any other bus company
