Well judging by http://www.seethroughny.net they make a salary of $55,994 per year, so when you do the math they have an hourly pay rate of $26.9201 , so yeah they get paid the same as TA/OA B/O's. Now MTA BUS B/O's have a yearly salary of $37,712 which comes out to $18.1307 per hours. But it seems like all of them make double that per year. So either the website site has the pay rate wrong or all there operators do double shifts all the time.

I have looked up MTA Bus operators salaries on that website and like Will said they are comparable to TA. I know you asked about starting salary but with the kind of run they are working+ OT their year to date pay almost doubles. The highest salaries I have come across so far seem to be around 85k yr out of all the Bus divisions.

Are you thinking about getting back into the seat Bob? I know you said that you drove back in the 1980's and that you are now semi retired.

No,i don't think i could handle it.I have a friend that lives on the nassau/suffolk border and he is interested. He would rather have the shorter commute to queens if the salary is the same.
