Service Alert

Due to signal problems at the 1st Avenue Station:

 

There is no (L) train service in both directions from the Bedford Avenue Station to the 8th Avenue Station.

 

Also, due to a rail condition at the 135th Street Station:

 

There is no (3) train service in both directions from the 148th Street-Harlem Station to the 96th Street Station.

 

Brooklyn College-bound (2) trains are running on the (5) line from the 149th Street-Grand Concourse Station to the Nevins Street Station.

 

Select Wakefield-bound (2) trains are terminating at the 96th Street Station.

 

As an alternative, customers are advised to transfer at 96th Street Station to M7 bus making nearby station stops.

 

Please expect delays in service on the (2), (3) and (L) trains at this time.

 

In addition, due to ongoing signal problems at the Elder Avenue Station, please expect delays in service on the Brooklyn Bridge-bound (6) trains at this time

Whatever it is I don't like seeing the (2)(5) on each other's lines on a weekday for that matter. On a weekend, that's a different story. Even the card maps are playing tricks with tourists.

The (2) via the (5) and vice versa is always interesting. I remember riding a redbird (5) train in 1998. It switched from the express to the local track and down we went along the Seventh Avenue Line.
