Grand Concourse Posted November 5, 2009 Share #3 Posted November 5, 2009 "But the person should have waited NOT beat the bus" *Slight correction. Anyway very sad. And agreed always look in both directions no matter what the sign says. Cars will always win.

Infamous85 Posted November 5, 2009 Share #8 Posted November 5, 2009 This is very sad, it seems like this is happening more often now (or making the news more often). I feel for the victim, the driver, and the witnesses. Just yesterday while I was waiting for the Q85 at Jamaica Center I saw this old man with a cane (who was J-Walking) try to beat a speeding O5 CNG (on the Q65), he almost got hit. Its sad to say but he literally would've gotten destroyed if this bus didn't stop in time, that's how fast it was going.
R32 3348 Posted November 6, 2009 Share #9 Posted November 6, 2009 People are too impatient these days and try things to save time, without thinking about how much they are risking their lives by doing so.

SoSpectacular Posted November 6, 2009 Share #12 Posted November 6, 2009 Not again!!!! Will these damn people stop jaywalking on busy streets?!?! It's hard enough for these bus drivers to operate a bus, 40-foot long vehicles they are! Weighing hundred and thousands of pounds! Of course that's gonna hurt!!
