Paul P 0 Posted November 8, 2009 Share #3 Posted November 8, 2009 That's useful, it would be even better if street names were seen through the lines. Heh, one thing: They forgot to put that the goes to Church Avenue. I just noticed that too!
ColumbiaDeath 0 Posted November 8, 2009 Author Share #4 Posted November 8, 2009 That's useful, it would be even better if street names were seen through the lines. I just noticed that too! I just reported it as a problem through the bottom right of the map. Let's all do that, so it gets fixed quicker.
PATCOman 196 Posted November 9, 2009 Share #5 Posted November 9, 2009 I like how detailed it is in terms of which streets each route runs under (i.e. Queens Boulevard line near Grand Avenue)
EE Broadway Local 18 Posted November 10, 2009 Share #6 Posted November 10, 2009 The new Google Transit layer looks cool if you click for satellite. Chicago is updated also but L lines are same color. New York is in the colors.
m7zanr160s 246 Posted January 25, 2010 Share #7 Posted January 25, 2010 I like how detailed it is in terms of which streets each route runs under (i.e. Queens Boulevard line near Grand Avenue) Exactly. I guess I'm late to the party. This is the most accurate NYC subway map ever! I used to think angular subway maps were just plain lazy and tacky, but now I see that that's how it would look from a high aerial perspective. It doesn't get round until you zoom-in really close. Also, I love the actual orientation. Looking at a regular subway map you'd think that Manhattan is north/south, when it's truly northeast/southwest. Coolest map, man. FamousNYLover 578 Posted January 25, 2010 Share #8 Posted January 25, 2010 Speaking off Google Transit, they still does not have CT Transit. On CT Transit Site, they suppose to have CT Transit.
m7zanr160s 246 Posted January 25, 2010 Share #9 Posted January 25, 2010 I see other places like Oakland and Toronto have their train and bus routes mapped. If that's done to NYC, the map may be unrecognizable.
2Line1291 24 Posted January 25, 2010 Share #10 Posted January 25, 2010 Just like Wal-Mart, Google is becoming big.
