Eric B Posted November 11, 2009 Share #26 Posted November 11, 2009 They've stopped installing them, for real? I thought I've seen them in Orion VII OG's, but I wasn't realy paying attention, and I haven't been riding buses much recently.

I thought I've seen them in Orion VII OG's, but I wasn't realy paying attention, and I haven't been riding buses much recently. The 7560-7819 and 6365-6689 batch were the last buses to get them. 6690 and newer do not have them. Buses ordered new for MTA Bus also don't have them. The NGs of course don't have them either. Infamous85 Posted November 11, 2009 Share #31 Posted November 11, 2009 I really didn't notice that they weren't in new buses. I noticed that either the beakie box or fare box makes different sounds for different metrocards (or at least it seems that way).

OK, I've never been in that 6690 and up group, and the couple of times I've been in an NG, I was too busy looking at everything else new about the interior.
