EE Broadway Local Posted November 10, 2009 Share #1 Posted November 10, 2009 Are there other B67 and Mr. Jackie Gleason Depot fans here at NYC Transit Forums?
SoSpectacular Posted November 10, 2009 Share #2 Posted November 10, 2009 I'm jealous Jackie Gleason has the C40LFs, 915 is their best sounding and possibly most powerful out of the bunch!! Gah I need another recording of it now that I got better equipment!!!

jacsnyy Posted November 10, 2009 Share #6 Posted November 10, 2009 I live (when I'm not at college) right around a lot of Gleason routes. I enjoy the B63, B71, B67

nycbusfan Posted November 12, 2009 Share #8 Posted November 12, 2009 I do like Jackie Gleason but have never been on the B67. My favorite Gleason routes would have to be the B8, 9, 11, 16 and 68.
Grand Concourse Posted November 12, 2009 Share #9 Posted November 12, 2009 B9 would be my 'home line', but unless I'm going to take the Brighton lines, I don't really use it much. B11 I use if I don't feel like walking.
MattTrain Posted November 13, 2009 Share #10 Posted November 13, 2009 I have two bus routes, I live nearby the B4 and B68 and both of them use nothing but Orions V and VII CNG buses and C40LF, based out of Jackie Gleason. I find it ironic that the B68's buses are based out of that depot, considering it stops nowhere near that depot.

I find it ironic that the B68's buses are based out of that depot, considering it stops nowhere near that depot. I'm a Jackie Gleason fan and my favorite route is the B69. Sometimes I wish that Gleason runs some RTS buses but don't mind the buses that runs on Gleason today.

SevenEleven Posted November 14, 2009 Share #13 Posted November 14, 2009 JG fan right here. I enjoy the fact that they only have noisy CNGs (ftw) and that my dad works out of that depot.
B35 via Church Posted November 15, 2009 Share #14 Posted November 15, 2009 as corny as this sounds, I consider Gleason my "home" depot, although I'm pretty much surrounded by flatbush routes... yeah the B35 is w/i a block north of me, but the 46, 44, 49, and the 41 are w/i blocks away.... bstar1 Posted November 18, 2009 Share #16 Posted November 18, 2009 thtas the same thing with the b82 with eny,and the b49 with flatbush B44 also doesn't operate near Flatbush, and B51 doesn't operate near ENY.
jacsnyy Posted November 19, 2009 Share #17 Posted November 19, 2009 B44 also doesn't operate near Flatbush, and B51 doesn't operate near ENY. The B44 stops close enough to Flatbush (in comparison to the B68 from Gleason) and the B51 runs out of Grand Avenue....though, that isn't close to the route either. lol
