DOB2RTO Posted December 18, 2007 Share #4 Posted December 18, 2007 what are level 2 buses? I feel like an idiot. Freshly painted, dents and dings gone, and some fully refurbished. An operator better micro-inspect that buses outside, and any defects better be written up, and signed off on. Those buses are closely looked at by the depot hire-ups, and drivers will pay the price for damaging those buses. They are trying to beautify the fleet, and get ride of eyesore marks, and drivers who cause this. This shows unsafe drivers, and they will be undercover riding drivers who keep putting marks on the buses, scrutinizing their driving habits. Re-training anyone? Maybe now all of you can see them, and won't get blank spaces or Xs.

SIR North Shore Posted December 24, 2007 Share #13 Posted December 24, 2007 Where can I get started?? I honestly think that the number of Level II 1999 O5s on Staten Island currently outweigh the number of non-Level II 1999 O5s. 1999-2000 Orion V: 6001-6003, 6057, 6098, 6168, 6218, 6223, 6272, 6302-6305, 6322-6323 Out of Yukon Depot, I can think of 6272, 6275-6276, 6289, 6290-6295, 6297, 6301-6339...and then 6340-6349. Out of Castleton...it seems the number is growing more and more every day. 6001-6005, 6008, 6010-6012, 6018, 6020, 6023, 6112-6113, 6134, 6148, 6158, 6176, 6179, 6180, 6184, 6212-6213, 6219, 6223, 6227, 6229, 6233, 6258, 6261. There's plenty more that I'm missing.
Harry Posted December 24, 2007 Share #14 Posted December 24, 2007 I spotted 1078 on the 14 and it is a level II.
TransitGuy Posted December 24, 2007 Share #15 Posted December 24, 2007 Orion V 542 is a white back with full treatment (white back, clean windows, etc.), but it doesn't quite say Level II. Would this count?
Eastman346 Posted December 24, 2007 Share #16 Posted December 24, 2007 Orion V 542 is a white back with full treatment (white back, clean windows, etc.), but it doesn't quite say Level II. Would this count? I also saw a bus that looked repainted but it didnt have a II on it. does that count?
DOB2RTO Posted December 24, 2007 Share #17 Posted December 24, 2007 I also saw a bus that looked repainted but it didnt have a II on it. does that count? They are quite a few buses like that, like artic 5646 at West Farms. It is fully painted, but not Level II.

Pablo M 201 Posted December 24, 2007 Share #19 Posted December 24, 2007 Add O7 6784. Saw it and shot it yesterday on 6th Ave and 8th Street. And then there were two more that I saw last week but I didn't catch the bus numbers too well and it doesn't seem to be on this list. If I had knew about this list, I probably would've caught it better.

tramrunner Posted December 27, 2007 Share #25 Posted December 27, 2007 and also saw a repainted back of teh 804 bus, also B68. I also start to wonder what does II under a bus service number mean. And now I have an answer. Are there any renumbered buses among Level II ? Look like 945 is a level II bus. By the way, I saw some of Level II RTSes on B36. thanks for information. Now I will watch out for Level II buses.
