The city Department of Transportation held its final community input session on Thursday on traffic tieups along the stretch between E. Tremont Ave. and E. 233rd St. "White Plains Road is very, very active. As the population increases, so does the traffic and so do the headaches," said Community Board 12 District Manager Carmen Rosa before the meeting. mark1447 Posted November 15, 2009 Share #3 Posted November 15, 2009 I wounder if the Bx39 would be turned into a BRT. Doubt Bx41 since it runs on that road from 241st and East Gun Hill. Tho i never noticed WPR was a problem, tho when heading to Westchester on the Bee Line it does get a bit packed, tho after crossing White Plains Road <> First Street border(WPR), doesnt look bad...
