Will look forward to seeing the results, Salaam! Too bad it doesn't operate in "Time Machine Mode" so you could get some good PE & LARy shots too! :D

I was looking at those the other day. But for NY, I'm borrowing my mother's Rebel that she never uses. But good luck with it, I hope it outperforms your expectations.

this bullcrap lenscap [ ring ] on the front lens just worked loose and

fell in front of devils gate dam here in our flood control area

i barely was able to get my hands in front of me to catch it !!

down it went into a restricted area where i can not go to

maybe i can get some county worker to let me go and get it

but what i dont understand is why canon made this ring in front of the

lens that works loose and falls off of the camera !!!

:eek::eek::mad::D:mad::(:o:o

ratz so wednesday i will call thier 1 800 # number and order another

lens cap holder and see if i should ( GLUE ) it into place !!!!!!

:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::(:(:(:(:confused::confused:

at least my old sony dsch1 had one cap that fits '''tight''

over the '''G-Dammed lens !!!

i put the camera away so i can not see it

you can not put the protective cap on it anymore ......... RATZ !!!

:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

without the lens cap, then you have to be very careful or else you'll scratch up the lens and ruin your camera

and salamallah that is sorry to hear, good luck on fixing your camera!

my main complaint is how this camera was made to fall apart

like this

ordering the replacement parts may not be a problem

wish the instruction book etc would have warned against this

accident

i mean a lens cap outer holder ring dammnnn !!

unscrews and falls off !!

????????????

a big MFG defect 4 sure :D

watsuuuuup canon camera inc. ??? ......!!! ........?

Those are really nice pictures. I've recently taken to an EOS Rebel, and I must say, it'll be hard to use a compact camera again. Despite your lens cap troubles, I do believe that your camera takes exceptional photos. Good luck with it

Those are great shots Salaam. Love the scenery out west.

Good thing there wasn't any smog that day! :D

Nice shots, Salaam! :(

I thought the same thing. I said to myself, "no smog, nice".

I've been there when you couldn't even see the mountains, even if only a few miles away. :eek: It is a beautiful sight on that rare clear day, though.
