fordhamkid7721 Posted November 16, 2009 Author #10 Posted November 16, 2009 Good pics! I just realized that cemetery by the Yeah. Creepy stop to get off at...I'd hate to get off or on there at night, it was quiet as hell lol but thanks Dave!
JWeber279 Posted November 17, 2009 #11 Posted November 17, 2009 Great work! I've never rode on the Jamaica line, it's always been "the line that time forgot" for me. Seeing some pics from that line is a real treat.
Grand Concourse Posted November 17, 2009 #12 Posted November 17, 2009 Yeah. Creepy stop to get off at...I'd hate to get off or on there at night, it was quiet as hell lol but thanks Dave! Same for Cypress Hills on the J line
fordhamkid7721 Posted November 17, 2009 Author #13 Posted November 17, 2009 Great work! I've never rode on the Jamaica line, it's always been "the line that time forgot" for me. Seeing some pics from that line is a real treat. You should try to get a ride on it. It lost some of it's luster with the R160s on the line and the loss of a clear(or somewhat clear) railfan window but it's a nice scenic line with alot of photo oppurtunities. Next trip probably this coming weekend I wanna hit Alabama Ave on the J and Cypress Hills, those are just my main goals and the rest is just spontaneous Same for Cypress Hills on the J line In the daytime if its above ground any stop is ok with me, and Cypress Hills is a epic photo spot Next trip my "main goals" are: -Cypress Hills -Alabama Avenue -Lefferts El/Rockaways(big maybe)

It only sucks that the only times I'm able to get shots there is when the sun is working against me. One day I might try to get there in the early morning.
fordhamkid7721 Posted November 18, 2009 Author #17 Posted November 18, 2009 Excellent shots! Thanks dude! Agreed. It only sucks that the only times I'm able to get shots there is when the sun is working against me. One day I might try to get there in the early morning. I like cloudy days where I don't have to worry about this stuff and the wet tracks and ties make the camera look HD lol Anyway heres a vid from Saturday. I'll upload the others later maybe http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0hod_sUDuY
Grand Concourse Posted November 18, 2009 #18 Posted November 18, 2009 Agreed, I feel some of the better pics I have taken were when the sky is dark especially on the Rockaway branches.
fordhamkid7721 Posted November 18, 2009 Author #19 Posted November 18, 2009 Agreed, I feel some of the better pics I have taken were when the sky is dark especially on the Rockaway branches. I wanna hit that if I go fanning this weekend lol idc if its basically winter
Grand Concourse Posted November 18, 2009 #20 Posted November 18, 2009 I've never taken pics there when it snowed, but it's a pretty good place to get some pics. The 3 stations I've taken pics from the most are: Howard Beach, Broad Channel, and B116th. I haven't visited the Far Rockaway side for a while now. The last time I was there was 2006 when the R160B train was running on the A.
