Amtrak7 Posted November 19, 2009 #2 Posted November 19, 2009 Isn't Able Ride operated by an independent contractor?

JohnQPine Posted November 20, 2009 #4 Posted November 20, 2009 Tom Suozzi may throw a fit, I think the county may own the paratransit buses. But Suozzi may not be C.E. for much longer. And good riddance!
aemoreira81 Posted November 20, 2009 #5 Posted November 20, 2009 No Able Ride Is InHouse and Operated by (MTA)Long Island Bus Access A Ride is managed by (MTA)New York City Transit and Contracted out to Private Companies The MTA owns Access-A-Ride, but First Transit manages the service and operations are done by various contractors. As for the stripe, it may not be Suozzi/Mangano's call on this (the recount is ongoing).
