And that's what makes it more unbelievable to explain the force of a train, because when it derails it can do THIS to the rail that was shown as so strong above

Amazing that people are still stupid enough to try and play "beat the train" knowing that, but they do...

This is not an example of the strength of steel rails but rather their flexibility. They are not rigid over long sections. You wouldn't expect a rope to snap there either.

 

But they are holding onto the concrete ties... I said tracks not rails. :P :cool:

 

I'd like to see more photos like this, not that bridge collapses are good, but just demonstrations of how well built stuff is when proper effort is put into it. :P

I said if a train were to cross the rails like that, with no stand support, would it it collapse. Which will happen.. Tho i know a train wouldnt run like that..
