A few RTSs that came in around early 2000 have TwinVision LeDot signs installed, a bit of a hybrid between flipdot and the brightness of LED. Before the advent of orange LEDs, these signs were one of the few places to see extended readings (along the likes of "B41 via FLATBUSH").

 

They were also installed on the Vikings.

My apologies for a late reply... but thanks for the info. So the TwinVision LeDot signs were just like the current Orange LED?

 

btw I saw the video that you linked here, so is there a way that I can make the flipdot signs scroll? To me, speed doesn't matter much anyways...

With all due respect, I won't really mind if someone requests a fantasy route sign as long as (s)he specifies how (s)he wants the sign to read. Hell, I came up with the impossibles for my LED train signs a few times in the past, so it's no problem. :tup:

Use this site to resize your image by percent (I think it's somewhere from 50% to 80%) and upload the resized image through the User CP.

When I read your request, I didn't see the "Orion NG" part, which I'll explain. As of now, an orange LED will have to do for now.

I have yet to find out the character limit for the side flipdot/LED signs. Maybe the approximate is around 100 or so... that's all I need since the fonts were ready anyways.

For the Bx12 SBS Artics, the X is the same size as the B for some reason...

 

In addition to what 711 mentioned, I would like to see clear close-up shots of the titan signs because it will make my job really easier and less stressful. For those that decide to help me out, er.. I'll think of a prize/reward?
