SevenEleven Posted November 28, 2009 Share #26 Posted November 28, 2009 Nice shots. I checked the pics out on my phone last night, and came for a better look. The white paint on those O5s do not look good at all.
dmouse Posted November 28, 2009 Share #27 Posted November 28, 2009 wow my kid fantasy/dream happened. But about 6-7 years later.... (non CNG) O5s@ LGA= WIN! *sigh* why did the have 2 be so cheap? Just repaint the whole bus, instead of taping it. They r gonna regret not fully painting them. Not dirty but different shades of White.
Ty24 Posted November 29, 2009 Share #28 Posted November 29, 2009 Oh Woww Its sad to see that they had to go to LGA:cry:..I thought they would have went to FarRockaway Instead!!..But why didnt they just repaint the whole bus over instead...Look How LGA Has the NG..SMH..Nothing will last at LGA Depot because they dont know how to take care of their stuff
T J Trainman Posted November 29, 2009 Share #29 Posted November 29, 2009 I think LGA is getting more then 20 BL O-5s. It looks more like 25-40. The MTA wants those TMCs out. Asap.
Grand Concourse Posted November 29, 2009 Share #30 Posted November 29, 2009 By that reasoning, I guess it's safe to say BP will also be getting a good amount of those BL buses as well.
Kingsbridge Bus Posted November 29, 2009 Share #31 Posted November 29, 2009 Are all the former bee-line buses 401-484 taken out of service already? Two weeks ago I saw 414 running around bee-line routes.
dmouse Posted November 29, 2009 Share #32 Posted November 29, 2009 Are all the former bee-line buses 401-484 taken out of service already? Two weeks ago I saw 414 running around bee-line routes. There r only 4 units left. When the rest of the NABIs come in, those will head to eastchester. also expect 4 O7 hybrids from them too.
KNIGHTRIDER3:16 Posted November 29, 2009 Share #33 Posted November 29, 2009 I saw some more (B)ee-line buses on the Whitestone (E)xp today going towards LGA
T J Trainman Posted November 29, 2009 Share #34 Posted November 29, 2009 5 more Orion Vs are now at LGA. The #s are: 125, 131, 133, 134, & 138. Also, BP now has 10 of these Ex BL O-5s as well.
Q43LTD Posted December 1, 2009 Share #35 Posted December 1, 2009 Who painted those O5's, a crackhead?
Bracamonte Posted December 2, 2009 Share #36 Posted December 2, 2009 I tried to catch one on the Q33, which is my home line, but the route was nothing but Orion 7's. How often do the ex-BL buses appear?

Q43LTD Posted December 2, 2009 Share #39 Posted December 2, 2009 Great Photos, No they were not repainted they were taped. Still look horrible. At least they're not any NYCT route
Eric B Posted December 3, 2009 Share #40 Posted December 3, 2009 Of all the pictures so far, I still cannot tell if they still kept the green tint on the light closest to the front door, as I was wondering. The only clear interior shot I've seen is in the Roosevelt Island 102 thread, but the light is off (as it often is).
Fresh Pond Posted December 3, 2009 Share #41 Posted December 3, 2009 Damn, what a crapjob Bus did with those buses. I was wondering if that's the original color of the bus or just 13-14 years of dirt and service? Instead of placing the sticker over it they should've just repainted the whol thing. Nice shots tho

Grand Concourse Posted December 4, 2009 Share #43 Posted December 4, 2009 MTA Bus = NYCT's bastard younger brother But at least MTA Bus got brand new hybrids and D4500s if that's any consolation.

metropond09 Posted December 10, 2009 Share #45 Posted December 10, 2009 Hello all, new member here. I had the misfortune of riding one of these buses last night on the Q39 line, what a horror show! The bus was cramped, dark, and roach infested. The rear doors were only able to be opened by the operator, garbage! The fleet has improved greatly over the last few years and this is just a step backwards, ugh!:tdown:
DevilBus65 Posted December 10, 2009 Share #46 Posted December 10, 2009 Just think of all the great photos of these buses you will be able to get. You better bring extra memory cards to catch em. By the way I almost forgot to mention why you will have so many sitting ducks to photograph,it's because they are already breaking down. And as far as us being NYCT's bastard younger brother I wish we were treated that well. It's more like 10th class the way we get it. Both from Local 100 and the MTA. Grand Concourse Posted December 10, 2009 Share #47 Posted December 10, 2009 Man, that's a total shame, breaking down already? I'm not knocking LGA, but I didn't think it was such a good idea in the first place to give them these buses. I think they should've sent the O5s to Far Rock and have FR displace their hybrids. lol, I meant that in jest, but I had no idea it was 'that' bad
T J Trainman Posted December 10, 2009 Share #48 Posted December 10, 2009 From what I have been hearing LGA absolutley loves the O-5s the drivers and the customers really like them. BP on the other hand, It seems to be the total opposite. Either way I like them.
petabread Posted December 10, 2009 Share #49 Posted December 10, 2009 Umm, I've been up near LGA and haven't seen any break downs. On the other hand, I saw 146 down and out last week, then on tuesday I saw two of them down on Parsons blvd with mechanics with them. So, my question is whos not doing well with them??? Oh and for the record, LGAs maintenance I guarantee now tops Baisley Park.
T J Trainman Posted December 10, 2009 Share #50 Posted December 10, 2009 Thats not like BP to let these orions brake down. First 142 then 146 and now 2 others? This is strange.
