Not always true, of you have pretax deductions for something like medical spending account or transit account (non-ta people reading). Total for the year is not on the pay stub. In addition other fringe benefits like if you take a city car home will not be listed on your pay stub but will be on your W2. Any one can tell me plz. We get our W-2's sent out to us by the 2nd week of January. So some time around January 11th-15th you should have it your mail box.
