Railfanning The R1 12/13/2009

Here's a small railfanning trip that me and Kris are planning.

 

1. We start out by meeting up by the 7th Avenue Station at 11:00 AM

Then we ride the Train to W 4th Street for the .

We take the To 2nd Avenue and get one the vintage train from there. We ride the Vintage train to Queens Plaza and from their we ride the to Jackson Heights. After that we take the Train to Grand Central 42nd Street for the Train. Then we ride the To Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall. We take the to Fulton Street from there. Then we ride the R32 Train from Fulton Street to W 168th Street.

Then last but not least we take the to W 125th Street and end our trip their.

This sounds good, but let's push the trip meeting time back to 10:45 AM since we will get more time to take pictures of the R9s at 2nd Avenue if we get there with 15 minutes to spare before the train leaves (at 11:31).

 

Also, let's not focus on where to stop for photos because there are actually quite a few opportunities (especially with the R32 train) to take great pictures which you didn't catch (like 46th St. , Broadway-Lafayette ( and Canal St. , to name a few). I think we should just decide on where to stop for photos as we go along the trip because as we're going to be going we can see which stations we are entering would be good for pics.

I spoke with Daniel and he said hes gonna have to cancel the trip due to his camera braking. he didnt post anything over here yet,i dunno why.

 

If he does cancel it,would you still wanna do this anyway,I can make my own route,but we'll still do the R1/9
