Q25toJamaica Posted December 12, 2009 Share #2 Posted December 12, 2009 On the verge of cutting bus lines, subway lines, and student metrocards, it's an outstanding idea to rename a bus depot.
RokuSix Posted December 12, 2009 Share #3 Posted December 12, 2009 I agree with Chris. Maybe this change can wait a little while? All the money required to change signs and stickers will add up. The MTA needs to prioritize a little better.

R32 3348 Posted December 12, 2009 Share #5 Posted December 12, 2009 It wouldn't be as expensive of a change as renaming the RFK bridge, since there's no signs or maps to be replaced or anything. The sticker and the actual depot name would be the only major things to change, so why not? I'll get an updated picture of it when they change it, too. The sticker and the actual depot name would be the only major things to change, so why not? No matter what the cost it's an unnecessary change that is wasting money, even if it only is producing about 200 depot stickers. Don't forget, the lettering on the depot will also have to change. Kingsbridge Bus Posted December 13, 2009 Share #19 Posted December 13, 2009 Really a waste of money, I disagree with this renaming thing. The could hold it until they have enought money to continue operations. Or maybe this is part or the bailout package from the government, the has to rename their stuff until the GOVT is satisfied... If Kingsbridge depot is renamed, so will my user name!!!:mad::tdown:
Dan05979 Posted December 13, 2009 Share #20 Posted December 13, 2009 Insted of naming it Tuskegee Airmen Depot, why not name it Victims of 9/11 depot or something to that nature?
Kingsbridge Bus Posted December 13, 2009 Share #21 Posted December 13, 2009 Insted of naming it Tuskegee Airmen Depot, why not name it Victims of 9/11 depot or something to that nature? is always making up weird names for these depots lately. Eric B Posted December 14, 2009 Share #22 Posted December 14, 2009 Are they going to rename ALL the depots? It seems there is an endless supply of causes or memorialized personalities they can rename the depots with, so eventually, they will run out. I often wonder why they don't use the new names for new depots that open up.

EE Broadway Local Posted December 18, 2009 Share #24 Posted December 18, 2009 Tuskegee Airmen Depot Logo [/img] This would be a nice honor to the Tuskegee Airmen who paved the way for a desegregated Armed Forces with what they did during World War II.
