St Louis Car 09 Posted December 14, 2009 Share #4 Posted December 14, 2009 It`s a good idea in a sense that you would then be able to switch cars without problems.
INDman Posted December 14, 2009 Share #5 Posted December 14, 2009 It`s a good idea in a sense that you would then be able to switch cars without problems. But still not that great when the whole unit needs to be taken OOS when there is a B/O part on one unit. Although in the divine wisdom of the MTA, this has become less of an issue as they order everything as 4 or 5 car sets.

Fan Railer Posted December 17, 2009 Share #7 Posted December 17, 2009 The D Type Triplex served for a long time on the BMT. yep, 40 full years, but they could have ran for an additional 10-15 years with proper maintanence.
