Well folks, the time has come, the historic first flight of the Boeing 787. It will be taking off from Snohomish County (KPAE - Paine Field) and will arrive at Boeing Field International (KBFI).

Boeing has a live webcast set up here:

And you may also track it at FlightAware:

It's been a time in coming, congrats boeing, this breakthrough aircraft will save billions of tons of carbon and other emissions due to the lack of aluminum needed. Aluminum smelting is one of the most carbon intensive processes humans do. One alu soda can recycled saves enough energy to light a 100 watt bulb for a year. Good job Boeing for being a leader in environmentally responsible jet transportation!

How'd she look Pablo?!

I seen the video and I must say that it was an epic inaugural flight and good things come to those who wait. Now we are going to see a decrease in orders for the A380.I rather take a plane which is cost effective and enviormentally friendly than a plane that is good for carrying lots of passengers and which is overbuilt with useless amenities. And any ssmart airliner would be making a smart choice by going to boeing with this one.
