error46146 Posted December 29, 2007 Share #1 Posted December 29, 2007 Is there a set pre-defined schedule for testing trains? Or do they just pop up at random?
Pablo M 201 Posted December 29, 2007 Share #2 Posted December 29, 2007 No set schedule. Unless testing is announced. Like down in DC Land with WMATA, they actually announce service disruption because of new cars they're testing. You'll just have to be lucky and see it for yourself over here in MTA land. When you hear of a new set like of R160s arriving at C.I.Y., then keep your eyes open because it won't be long til it starts testing. Yesterday, the group and I were lucky to see the 8903-8912 R160B set testing and were even more lucky to hear where the train was and then catch it at a certain spot. And then we saw something interesting while going to CI and see a train going up the ramp onto Culver line from the yard and it was an R143 testing on the Culver. So here in NY, its just a matter of being able to see it and catch it in time.
