Lennyj17 Posted December 19, 2009 Share #1 Posted December 19, 2009 I was in Jamaica from 3:30 to 8pm bus fanning...On Jamaica Av from 3:30 to 5pm and then over on Archer until 8pm...Did not see one ex-PBL RTS... All (MTA)Bus RTS's were ex-NYCT.... I know there are still a few roaming around, must be less than 10 at this point.

Kingsbridge Bus Posted December 20, 2009 Share #5 Posted December 20, 2009 Holy F***!!!!!! Thats it? Are there any in storage????????????? I highly doubt that would keep a bus model being retired in storage but since is soooooooooo stupid, it might be possible. Only 9 left!!!

Lennyj17 Posted December 20, 2009 Author Share #7 Posted December 20, 2009 Must've been the influx of ex-BL O5's that sent most of the PBL RTS's to their grave because a month or so ago there was still a healthy dose to be found in Jamaica durning the Rush Hours, and now NONE! durning the entire rush hour on Friday. I did see a couple working the Q37 during the rush one time over on Union Trpk and Blvd.

aemoreira81 Posted December 22, 2009 Share #11 Posted December 22, 2009 Holy F***!!!!!! Thats it? Are there any in storage????????????? No...the graveyard. The ones at JFK will probably be the last ones in service, I would think. That garage is supposed to get 26 more NGs. BP is getting some O5s to replace theirs, and FRK is supposed to get 8 O7s from BP. In addition, some Novas may end up at MTA Bus to replace them as well as the last 20 1990 TMCs. As it stands---13 are in driveable condition; the other two are 5999 (preserved as JBI 3865 and sitting in the back of that lot), 682 (preserved as Command 4904), 695 (used as a dispatching office but not run in service at Spring Creek) and 5904 (preserved as Queens Surface 275) are the units not in MTA livery. R32 3838 Posted December 25, 2009 Share #14 Posted December 25, 2009 1183 was the last ex Jamaica Bus, It retired a week and half ago, 9706 been gone, BP has like 4 1990 TMC's, I seen 8195,8218,8306 and 8359. Grand Concourse Posted January 28, 2010 Share #25 Posted January 28, 2010 lmfao, how can the driver not notice the sign is upside down? But damn, I never expected 5995 to be the last one. I was pulling for 5926 to be the last I just hope 5926 is part of the 'reserve' and not outright scrapped.
