Metro-North RR:

Due to a winter weather advisory, New Haven Line service will not run Shopper's Specials on Sunday, Dec. 20., and will operate on a regular Sunday schedule. Be sure to check the schedule for individual trains at http://mta.info/mnr/html/planning/schedules/pdf/102009NHavenLineS_S.pdf.

 

Long Island RR:

LIRR Storm Update:

 

LIRR service is extremely limited with delays up to 2 hours Systemwide.

 

Due to blizzard conditions, the Nassau County Office of Emergency Management urges those who don't have to travel to stay home.

 

Customers may see some trains operating non-stop thru stations to assist in clearing tracks and switches of snow.

West Hempstead and Ronkonkoma Branch Customers:

 

Train service is currently suspended on the following branches: West Hempstead and westbound service from Ronkonkoma.

I am surprisred LIRR even bothered to run trains at all at height of blizzard between midnight-5am. i did hear a train(rokokomna branch) did get stuck early sunday morning.

Ronkonkoma service is limited, as it is the easternmost electric service. Most service has been restored, with extensive delays. However, these advisories remain:

 

East of Speonk has VERY limited service

NO service east of Greenport (it's rural, so there's drifts everywhere. I wonder if they'll resume it form tomorrow or not)
